To create a user-friendly, professional website for Kent Carriage Masters that serves as a reliable platform for funeral directors and individuals seeking hearse and limousine hire for funerals. The website should highlight the company’s services, ensure easy access to contact the company and establish trust with its target audience.

Discovery:

After researching similar websites and analysing user behavior, I concluded that the website should prioritise what users want most. Statistics indicate that users spend limited time on a site, so the hero section must prominently display the key user flows to capture their attention immediately. This will ensure users can quickly access the most critical information or actions they are seeking.

Design:

I based the color palette on the logo’s light blue, complemented by off-white and beige tones for a clean, professional look. The layout prioritises intuitive navigation. For the contact section, I added a button in the hero area that smoothly scrolls to the contact section, also accessible via the navigation bar. The services section uses a tabbed design for clarity, while the history section features a dynamic slideshow repeater to showcase the company’s journey.

Development: 

The website has been developed using Wix Studio, providing a flexible, user-friendly platform that allows easy updates and long-term maintainability. Based on research into what users typically search for on similar sites, relevant keywords and phrases have been integrated into the site’s content to ensure it ranks well in search results. These keywords are strategically placed in the meta descriptions, headers, and throughout the copy to optimise SEO.

Wix’s built-in SEO tools have been used to streamline the optimisation process, along with additional strategies like ensuring fast load times and mobile optimisation. The site is connected to a custom domain, enhancing branding and making it easier for users to find. With these SEO strategies in place, the website is designed to attract more relevant traffic and support the business’s growth over time.

Delivery: 

The website was successfully handed over, and I conducted a thorough walkthrough with the client, reviewing any requested changes and demonstrating how to maintain the site moving forward. We also discussed how to assess website analytics and make data-driven decisions to amend and optimise the site in the future. This ensures that they can continue to improve the site’s performance based on user behavior and traffic trends.

 

The project was delivered on time and within the agreed budget. A final quote was sent based on the agreed daily rate, ensuring transparency and clarity regarding the overall cost of the project.
